Privacy Policy

Nakajima Steel Pipe has established the following policy for handling personal information to appropriately and efficiently undertake its business and related activities.

1. Basic Policy on Protecting Personal Information

In view of the expanding use of personal information associated with the development of an advanced information and communication society, Nakajima Steel Pipe endeavors to pay due consideration for the value of personal information while also seeking to protect the rights and interests of individuals.

Nakajima Steel Pipe shall comply in both the letter and the spirit of the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws and regulations in its efforts to protect personal information.

Nakajima Steel Pipe will strive to appropriately protect personal information by establishing internal rules on personal information management while ensuring widespread employee understanding of these rules along with related laws and regulations and conducting educational activities. The Company shall also endeavor to continuously revise and improve this policy and related internal rules.

2. Policy on the Collection and Use of Personal Information

Specification of Intended Use and Appropriate Collection and Use
Nakajima Steel Pipe shall only collect personal information after specifying its intended use insofar as possible and will refrain from collecting or using personal information beyond these explicit uses without obtaining prior consent from the relevant individuals. The Company shall not seek to obtain personal information through deception or other unlawful means.

Appropriate Security Management Measures
Nakajima Steel Pipe shall seek to maintain the accuracy of the personal information it has obtained and implement necessary and appropriate measures to prevent illegal access, leakage, loss, falsification or damage with regard to personal information. Furthermore, the Company shall provide necessary and appropriate supervision for employees and subcontractors to ensure the secure management of personal information.

Disclosure to Third Parties and Joint Use
Nakajima Steel Pipe shall not disclose personal information to a third party without obtaining prior consent from the relevant individuals. In addition, when seeking joint use of personal information, the Company shall do so by either informing the relevant individuals in advance about clauses stipulated by laws and regulations or through public disclosure.

Disclosure, Correction, Discontinuation of Use and the Handling of Complaints
In the event that an individual demands disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or discontinuation of the use of personal information, Nakajima Steel Pipe will respond by implementing the appropriate measures in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations. The Company will also appropriately respond and promptly address complaints about its handling of personal information.
